The EOU Annual Campus Food Drive is about to begin at EOU. This drive is part of the Governor's State Employee Annual Food Drive. I am coordinating the event this year with the help of our hispanic club, La Raza. This is the first year the event has been coordinated and facilitated by students. I will be creating a manual with step by step instructions on coordinating and running the drive. Our hope is that student clubs will coordinate the drive in the future and in doing so receive their Cornerstone in Community Service.

Updates on American Democracy Project Events --
This week the Project here at EOU got off to a great start, with a presentation by the Directors of SOLV and a great Community Service Fair.
Our next event is Sunday, Oct. 26: The Hen Party Bell Mounting.
The Bell Mounting is at noon, at the Hancock Residence in Cove, Oregon, at the end of Mill Creek Lane, on the way to Moss Springs, across from the Red Barn. Yes, for you "outsiders" this is how we give directions in Eastern Oregon. "You can't get there from here."
If you'd like to read about the Hen Party project, try the La Grande Observer news story as a starting point: http://www.lagrandeobserver.com/news/story.cfm?story_no=5626
Come to the Bell Mounting, or send me questions at rdavis@eou.edu, to find out more.
